Victory Mines (VIC) has begun a 4000-metre reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at the Coogee Gold Project.

Coogee lies approximately 55 kilometres southeast of Kalgoorlie and consists of four tenements that cover an area of 17 square kilometres.

It has a JORC 2012 indicated and inferred mineral resource estimate of 224,000 tonnes at a grade of 4.1g/t gold and an ore reserve of 109,000 tonnes at a grade of 5.1g/t gold for 18,000 ounces.

Furthermore, historical drilling has returned high-grade gold intercepts such as two metres at 28.7g/t gold from 63 metres, three metres at 21.03g/t gold from 104 metres, and six metres at 16.8g/t gold from 36 metres.

This RC drilling program will test the down-plunge extensions on multiple high-grade gold shoots across the entire 600-metre strike length of the project.

30 holes have been planned with depths ranging from 50 metres to 150 metres. Selected deeper holes have also been planned to a depth of 220 metres.

A programme of work has been approved by the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety, and heritage surveys have also been completed.

This program will take roughly four weeks to complete and results will be released as they become available.

Victory Mines is steady on the market and shares are trading for 0.4 cents each at 12:10 pm AEST.
