Drilling at Viking Mines’ (VKA) Fold Nose to Kinks South target area has confirmed the discovery of additional vanadium mineralisation in a previously undrilled region.

The drilling uncovered vanadiferous titanomagnetite (VTM) mineralisation more than 1.5 kilometres north of the Fold Nose mineral resource estimate (MRE).

Results included seven metres at 0.60 per cent vanadium from 63 metres and 14 metres at 0.63 per cent from 122 metres.

Another hole revealed 12 metres at 0.68 per cent from 60 metres.

“…I am very pleased to see that we have discovered more Vanadium mineralisation (in VTM) over 1.5 kilometres from the Fold Nose MRE,” VKA Managing Director and CEO Julian Woodcock said.

Viking completed 45 drillholes as part of an approximately 7500-metre program within its Canegrass Battery Minerals project in Western Australia.

The company announced that an MRE is expected in the December quarter, which will include updates for the Fold Nose and Kinks resources, as well as the newly discovered Kinks South area.

Viking Mines closed 5.56 per cent higher, trading at 1 cent at market close.
