Volpara Health Technologies (VHT) has signed a contract with US-based RadNet Management for the use of Volpara’s imaging and mammography software.

Under the contract, RadNet will implement the Volpara Analytics and Volpara Risk Pathways software throughout its organisation, which includes over 350 imaging centres in seven US states.

Volpara’s artificial intelligence (AI)-based Analytics software will manage mammography quality across RadNet’s sites, and the Risk Pathways tech will provide risk-based screening to ensure RadNet patients have access to essential imaging and genetic testing.

The contract lasts for an initial period of 3.5 years and comes with the mutual option to extend it further.

Volpara CEO Teri Thomas said thanks to today’s partnership, the two companies will save even more families from cancer.

“This is a broader partnership than a simple software purchase,” Ms Thomas said.

“We look forward to a deep engagement with RadNet as part of our focus on industry impacts and customer success of ‘elephant-sized’ industry leaders.”

Planning for the contract implementation has begun, with go-live projected in 2023.

Volpara said it expected the revenue generated under the agreement to be material for the company.

According to Volpara, RadNet is the largest provider of outpatient imaging services in the US.

Shares in Volpara were up 10.64 per cent and trading at 52 cents at 10:17 am AEST.
