Voltaic Strategic Resources (VSR) has intercepted several additional significant width pegmatites at its Andrada prospect in Western Australia.

The drilling results came from the discovery of a stacked system at Andrada, located within VSR’s Ti Tree project in WA.

VSR reported it completed 31 drill holes for more than 2000 metres, encountering 34 individual pegmatite intercepts for a cumulative total of 547 metres of pegmatite.

Drilling was carried out across two prospective lithium-cesium-tantalum (LCT) trends and tested sections at a regular interval of approximately 300 metres for a combined strike length of 2.6 kilometres.

Results included a 69-metre-wide pegmatite intercepted from 21 metres to end of hole (EOH) at 89 metres, and a 58-metre-wide pegmatite intercepted from surface to EOH at 58 metres.

“The prospectivity continues to grow at Ti Tree as our understanding of the geology increases,” VSR CEO Michael Walshe commented.

“Having thick pegmatites which repeat in a stacked sequence at depth are key prerequisites for building tonnage.

“The learnings from current drilling, which is limited to 70 metres below the surface provide valuable insight into the significance of structural controls within the project and will assist our follow-up deeper programs.

“We have only just begun to tap into the vast potential of our tenure at Ti Tree where the number of mapped pegmatites already exceeds 400 with only a fraction of the tenure explored,” Mr Walshe added.

VSR expects the first batch of assays within one to two weeks, and the second batch of assays are scheduled for around six weeks’ time.

To date, the company has identified 18 priority target areas across its entire project area and plans to increase this with airborne geophysics and photogrammetry surveys over the coming weeks.

Voltaic also reported that planning is underway for extensive drill programs across its north and south tenements.

VSR shares were up 11.1 per cent and trading at 10 cents at 10:56 am AEST.
