1414 Degrees (ASX:14D) has been a HotCopper favourite today after signing a major commercial agreement with European space company Orbit Boy.

Orbit Boy is an on-demand satellite air-launch system that can be flown anywhere in the world, to pick up the customer’s payload and launch it from a local airport out of a cargo plane – all on 24 hours’ notice.

14D was up +8.33% at lunchtime, selling at 13¢.

Great Bear Exploration (ASX:GBL) received strong interest across the HotCopper forums as well after completing its re-compliance and being able to re-list on the ASX. Formerly named Hydrocarbon Dynamics (ASX:HCD) the company is targeting the copper, gold, silver, and uranium Great Bear project in Canada.

Recent fieldwork and significant historical databases and information have allowed the company to target fast-tracked on-ground exploration activities.

The Great Bear region holds a rich mining history and has been identified as having Canada’s highest probability for the hosting of iron-oxide-copper-gold uranium plus silver-style mineralisation in the country.

GBL was steady at 2¢ today, and +950% up over the year.

On the energy front, all eyes are on Bounty Oil & Gas (ASX:BUY) and BPH Energy (ASX:BPH) after they both entered Wednesday trading halts in relation to the long-awaited decision covering the PEP-11 permit offshore NSW.

After years of uncertainty on approvals for the large permit, both are in a halt pending an announcement in relation to the delivery of a judgment in the Federal Court.

Unless the ASX says otherwise, securities will remain in trading halts until the earlier of the commencement of normal trading on Friday, June 19, CY26 or the release of an announcement to the market.

Looking wider, the ASX 200 was up in early trade today, +0.6%.
