With more than 600k average monthly users on the HotCopper forums, each and every discussion can move markets. That’s why getting in front of those red-hot trends is key for every trader worth their salt. In this daily HotCopper Trends column, we break down the top Oz stocks through each trading day.

NEXTDC (ASX: NXT) plunged after it announced revised net revenue, earnings and capital expenditure guidance for the financial year ending 30 June 2027, together with an update on its liquidity position at 30 September 2026.

The company told shareholders the revision primarily reflects delays to electricity network works by Jemena Electricity Networks which defer the next increase in grid supply to NEXTDC’s M3 Melbourne data centre and, with it, the delivery and billing of contracted capacity.

Jemena has advised NEXTDC that it has suspended parts of those works because of community and stakeholder opposition,”:

“We have taken the affected M3 contracts out of FY27 guidance until we can reliably estimate their contribution. The August guidance included approximately $140 million of each of net revenue and underlying EBITDA from those contracts. The timing and scale of their contribution remain uncertain,” CEO and MD, Craig Scroggie, said.

“The capacity remains under contract, subject to the customer’s rights, and construction of the data halls is continuing. We are working with our customer on a revised power ramp and with Jemena to bring power forward.

“With M3 revenue deferred, we have paused projects not backed by customer contracts and put that capital behind the capacity our customers have already contracted. We have approximately $8.7 billion of liquidity at 30 September 2026 and we are in compliance with our covenants.”

NXT fell 36.8% to $5.80.

Energy Technologies (ASX: EGY) made a big jump after its 100%-owned subsidiary Cogenic signed a binding heads-of-agreement with SYNCH establishing a one-year commercial framework under which the latter may place purchase orders with an aggregate value of up to US$10 million.

The company told the ASX the HoA is an important commercial milestone for Cogenic and creates a pathway for the company’s wearable technology to undergo field validation and progress towards broader commercial deployment.

Under the HoA, Cogenic will deliver 10 field-operational smart-glasses units for a proof-of-concept program.

EGY rocketed up by 130% to 4.6¢.

BSA (ASX: BSA) was popular on HotCopper forums on news of the execution and exchange of a binding share purchase agreement to acquire Eonetics’ proprietary aerial infrastructure business

Eonetics is an Australian-developed aerial infrastructure technology business with proprietary tethered-drone, software and remote infrastructure capabilities across telecommunications, defence-adjacent, emergency response, public safety and AI-enabled infrastructure applications.

The proposed acquisition will combine BSA’s national infrastructure services platform and workforce with Eonetics’ proprietary aerial and remote infrastructure technology, broadening BSA’s capabilities across inspection, surveillance and connectivity solutions while expanding its access to Tier 1 and Tier 2 telecommunications customers and new recurring revenue streams.

BSA was up 13.6% to 25.0c.

Looking wider, the S&P/ASX 200 was lower today, dropping 13.70 points or 0.16% to 8,803.20 and crossing below its 200-day moving average. Over the last five days, the index has gained 0.86% and 1.02% year to date.

Meanwhile, Perth engineering and technology consultancy APD Global has won the Transmission & Distribution category at Bentley Systems’ 2026 Year in Infrastructure (YII) Awards, announced in Singapore in October.

The global awards are often considered the Oscars for world-leading infrastructure projects, and this is the first time an Australian project has won the category.

APD Global was recognised for its integrated digital delivery of the multidisciplinary design for Clean Energy Link – North, the largest investment in Western Australia’s transmission infrastructure in more than a decade.

Due for completion by the end of 2027, the project will unlock around 400 MW of existing wind generation and a further 1 GW of new renewable energy for the South West Interconnected System.

More than 300 projects from 53 countries were nominated, and APD Global’s win puts work done in Perth alongside the best energy infrastructure delivery in the world.
