The Moomoo app now ranks as the most downloaded trading app in Australia, counting accumulated downloads from January to September 2025.

That means we beat all other share-trading platforms operating in Australia this year – from the most established of the big banks to the newer digital-only brokers, both homegrown and from overseas.

Why? Well, to us it seems clear it’s because of what we offer. That’s a truly advanced, professional-level trading platform, with the latest artificial-intelligence tools to aid users in their trading.

That combines with 24-hour support, an extensive range of education and news content, real-time market data, among the lowest fees, and access to more than 20,000 shares and ETFs across three world markets.

This is a big achievement for us. We only launched here three and a half years ago. And we’re up against some strong competition.

Our chief executive officer describes it as a milestone. “To become the most downloaded trading app in Australia in a short time, against strong competitors that have operated for decades in this market, is an achievement of which we are fiercely proud,” said Moomoo Australia and New Zealand CEO Michael McCarthy.

And it’s not just downloads either. Since our launch here, we’ve increased the amount of trading and the number of users on our platform exponentially.

“We’re not stopping here. We not only plan to maintain our leading role, but increase our activity, standing and presence in the Australian and New Zealand markets into 2026 and beyond,” said McCarthy.

Australia is the latest market where moomoo has achieved number-one status as the most-downloaded trading platform, already holding that position in Singapore and Hong Kong. This year, moomoo launched in New Zealand – its eighth international market.

About the result

The claim, “2025 most downloaded trading app in Australia,” is determined based on total accumulated downloads from January 1, 2025, to September 30, 2025, as recorded by data.ai. Rankings may change over time and do not reflect investment performance or suitability.
