Already operating within Nevada, the Midnight Sun Drilling is scheduled to start drilling at Keystone on September 1, with an earlier commencement in August should the contractor complete its current project ahead of schedule.

“We are delighted to appoint Midnight Sun Drilling as our drilling contractor to undertake the first drill program at Keystone in more than 80 years,” MD, Dr Matthew Cobb, said.

“The demand for RC rigs in Nevada has been unprecedented, driven by strong commodity prices and strong exploration appetite in the U.S. The company has worked hard to source a drilling contractor, and we are appreciative of Midnight Sun’s flexibility to accommodate the company’s program in an already full schedule.”

Dr Cobb is currently on site in Nevada, working alongside the WRX team to review the recently announced expanded landholding and upcoming drilling targets, whilst also finalising preparation for the program.

“The work completed to date reinforces the confidence the company has in the opportunity at Keystone, and we are looking forward to commencing the program and updating shareholders as work progresses.”

The 19-hole for 1,380m maiden Keystone drilling campaign is testing high-grade mine extensions, representing the first step in systematically testing priority targets identified across the expanded project tenure package.

Keystone is within the emerging Pershing trend in Nevada and hosts numerous historical workings associated with tungsten, silver and gold mineralisation.

Despite extensive historical mining activity, no modern drilling has been completed at the project for more than 80 years.

Recently, the expansion of Keystone increased Western Ridge’s landholding by approximately 500%, securing additional historical mining localities and strengthening the company’s regional footprint across the district.

Dr Cobb has also spent time in Nevada conducting field reviews across the expanded Keystone landholding, assessing historical mines, workings, and priority target areas, reinforcing the company’s confidence in the scale and exploration potential of the project.

WRX is up +3.7% to 2.8¢. Mkt cap $4.263M.
