White Cliff Minerals’ (WCN) maiden drilling program at the Hines Hill project has intersected multiple zones of mineralisation.

The aircore drilling program at the West Australian-based project included 49 holes and unearthed mineralised rare earth element (REE) clays from surface.

Drilling returned total rare earth oxide (TREO) values of up to 1182 parts per million (ppm) over a four-metre interval.

Highlighted results include 36 metres at 639 ppm TREO including three metres at 1126 ppm TREO from 12 metres, and 13 metres at 604 ppm TREO from 36 metres including four metres at 1182 ppm TREO from 45 metres.

“Our maiden drill program at Hines Hill has been extremely successful in demonstrating the potential of the project with the discovery of shallow mineralisation with intercepts of up to 1602 ppm TREO in clays from surface down through the oxidation profile, and into the basement,” Technical Director Ed Mead said.

“It appears at this early stage that the granitoid basement is highly elevated in REEs and the REE clays are the weathered granitoid,” he added.

White Cliff also completed a maiden geochemical sampling program at the project, which it expects to receive results from shortly. Sampling targeted two magnetic features which were interpreted to be carbonatite intrusions.

The company plans to review all drilling and sampling data to determine the next suitable program.

WCN shares were up 15.4 per cent to trade at 1.5 cents at 2:00 pm AEDT.
