  • Phase 1 drilling defines 11.2 km of copper mineralisation
  • Assays also identify pronounced lead-rich metal zonation
  • Step-out hole confirms further strike continuity
  • Phase 1 drilling demonstrates copper mineralisation at regional scale

White Cliff Minerals (ASX:WCN) is confident it is unveiling a regional scale copper system with further drilling at its Danvers discovery in Canada.

Danvers is located at the Rae copper project Nunavut, Canada with recent results confirming high-grade copper-silver mineralisation to 280m vertical depth and new evidence of metal zonation within the Danvers 3 system.

MD, Troy Whittaker, said phase 1 drilling has delineated massive lateral extent and continuity of mineralisation across Danvers.

“DAN26030 the latest assay, is particularly important, extending the Danvers 3 system to around 280m vertical depth while providing new geological information on its internal metal zonation,” he said.

“These latest results materially strengthen the exploration model at Danvers 3 and provide a strong vector for follow-up diamond drilling targeting the thicker and higher-grade components of the mineralised system at depth and along strike.

“Regionally, drilling has now defined a massive 11.2km of visual copper mineralisation with more than 8km of that assaying for copper. We have now transitioned the concentration of our drilling program – focussing on testing the depth continuity and building out the resource volume at the highest-priority mineralised zones. At Danvers 3, drilling is targeting extensions from near surface to approximately 300m depth, while ongoing infill work at Danvers 4 will be followed by further drilling to expand the mineralised footprint at Danvers 1 and test the broader mineralised trend.”

Recently completed diamond drilling marks completion of phase 1 in the Danvers 4 area, with visual copper sulphides intersected in multiple holes.

Diamond drilling is now infilling the regionally spaced Phase 1 regional holes, with individual targets being progressively refined as oriented core improves the company’s understanding of the structural controls on mineralisation.

The next phase of drilling will prioritise stepping out from the high-grade copper zones at Danvers 3 and testing strike and depth extensions at Danvers 1 – both, to the NE and SW.

The company will also test extensions to Danvers 2 and Danvers 4, where previous drilling returned high-grade copper.

Pending assays will be progressively incorporated into drill targeting, particularly around Danvers 1 where mineralisation remains open along strike.

WCN is steady at 1.8¢ with a Mkt cap of $53.12M.
