Wildcat Resources (WC8) has wrapped up a reverse circulation drilling program at the Red Panda LCT pegmatite prospect in WA’s Eastern Goldfields.

The company drilled seven holes, for 512 metres, at the Wildplay joint venture (JV) project to assess the geometry and zoning of the mineralisation.

CEO Samuel Ekins said preliminary observations suggested the prospect hosts LCT (lithium-caesium-tantalum) dykes.

“We will start planning additional fieldwork immediately and look to be back on site to define more prospective targets in the coming weeks. We eagerly await assays from the samples which are now at the lab.”

One hole in particular returned a significant intercept of 39 metres of pegmatite from a 13-metre depth.

Samples from the prospect have been submitted to the laboratory for analysis. Once assays are received, Wildcat Resources will review the results for indicator and economic minerals.

The company will also carry out further geological mapping and other fieldwork at the project including geophysical and geochemical exploration to define new prospects.

Shares were down 4.55 per cent to trade at 4.2 cents at 10:24 am AEDT.
