Digital simulations specialist xReality (XRG) has launched Operator LE, a virtual reality training solution for the global law enforcement market.

Operator LE allows police and law enforcement officers to train on operational tactics and procedures in a portable virtual reality format.

This allows officers to train more often, leading to increased preparedness across a range of scenarios, including de-escalation, use of force, traffic stops and domestic disputes with new scenarios continually added.

Further, it includes training accessories such as Glocks, OC spray and tasers, allowing officers to safely train using these items.

The officers will then be put through the After Action Review System to debrief from the angle of another trainee, suspect or third person.

Users are able to train together in a warehouse-scale training facility or remotely in individual spaces.

“The law enforcement training tools are a natural extension of the military training products,” CEO Wayne Jones said.

“The company has tailored the products to address the current Australian demand with localised vehicles, uniforms and equipment with the XRG Operator LE equipment being easily adaptable to bespoke weapons and for use by law enforcement agencies around the world.”

Commercial opportunities are currently in progress with submissions to be made to Australian state police forces in the coming weeks.

xReality was up 3.45 per cent on the market with shares trading at 6 cents at 3:37 pm AEDT.
