Zimi (ZMM) has received over $200,000 worth of purchase orders from Steel-Line Garage Doors.

Steel-Line is Australia’s largest garage door manufacturer and has serviced the Australian market for the past 40 years.

Zimi will supply 3250 garage door controllers, sensors and Zimi Cloud Connects to Steel-Line with delivery expected from November.

The garage controller allows users to open their door via their phone or voice control by using wi-fi or Bluetooth connection. It allows the door to open to a range of heights to enable ventilation, pet entrances or deliveries.

The controller can be accessed anywhere and has notifications incase the homeowner forgets to close it.

“We recently began commercialising the garage door controller and are pleased with the result,” Steel-Line CEO Aaron Dillaway said.

“As a market leader in Australia, we wanted to launch a distinctive connected offering: the garage door controller is retrofittable and has a range of unique features that it ensure it adds value to any home,” he added.

Shares in Zimi are up 5 per cent on the market and are trading at 2.1 cents at 2:02 pm AEST.
