Oklo Resources (OKU) has announced further outstanding drilling results from its Dandoko Project in west Mali, Africa.
Most recent drilling from two step-out diamond holes have confirmed the down-dip continuity of high-grade gold mineralisation.
Significant intersections include: 30 metres at 8.54g/t gold from 135 metres including; 7 metres at 30.69g/t gold from 142 metres, 13 metres at 15.80g/t gold from 91 metres including; 4 metres at 46.65g/t gold from 92 metres.
In total, the company conducted an approximate 13,000-metre drilling program over the northern portion of SK1 at the Seko prospect.
Dandoko is located within the Kenieba Inlier of west Mali and roughly 30 kilometres east of B2 Gold’s 7.1 million ounce Fekola Project and 50 kilometres south-southeast of Barrick’s 12.5 million ounce Loulo Project.
Currently, Oklo has 500 square kilometres of highly prospective ground in what is considered an emerging world-class gold region.
All assay results have now been reported from the initial phase of aircore (AC) and reverse circulation (RC) resource definition drilling.
Previous exceptional results include 55 metres at 7.65g/t gold from 54 metres, 51 metres at 4.28g/t gold from 63 metres, 31 metres at 7.12g/t gold from 30 metres and 29 metres at 2.46g/t gold from 51 metres.
A more recent phase of deeper RC and down-dip drilling at SK2 and SK3 have also been completed however all assay results are pending.
“Our focus is now on the next batches of assay results from the step-out holes drilled immediately along strike to the northeast and southwest,” Managing Director Simon Taylor said.
AC drilling is currently underway over the untested zone between the SK1 and Koko prospects. Planning is also underway for further drilling over the northern extension of SK1 to expand on these encouraging results.
Oklo’s share price has gained 24.4 per cent, with shares trading at 28 cents each at 3:09 pm AEST.
