  • The company has now reported the data breach to authorities in Hong Kong, Singapore and the U.K.
  • Nevertheless, the company shares closed a slight 2.86 per cent higher today, priced at 3.6 cents each

Love Group Global (LVE) has reported it has been hacked, with the offender accessing the server and CRM files.

The online dating provider did not specify how many clients had been impacted or which services they were using. Love Group has a range of dating services from free online dating to premium matchmaking.

In a statement, Love Group said it implemented measures to secure all data as soon as it was alerted to the security breach and it has since notified affected clients.

Love Group has reported the incident to the Hong Kong Police and the Office for the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data in Hong Kong.

In Singapore, the incident has been reported to the Personal Data Protection Commission in Singapore while in the United Kingdom, the breach has been reported to the Information Commissioner.

Despite news of the data breach, shares in Love Group closed a slight 2.86 per cent higher today, priced at 3.6 cents each.
