It currently holds a 4.38 per cent interest in Cortical Dynamics.

Cortical is an Australian-based medical device technology company that has developed a brain function monitor called the ‘Brain Anaesthesia Response (BARM) System’.

BARM has been developed to better detect the impact of anaesthetics on brain activity.

The BARM System’s primary purpose is to assist anaesthetists and intensive care staff in making sure patients do not wake unexpectedly, as well as reducing the incidence of side effects associated with the anaesthetic.

Following the resignations of Cortical directors, David Liley and Gary Todd, Mr Charles Chang and Mr Ashley Zimpel will be joining the Cortical Dynamics board.

Charles is a board member and senior advisor of IntuitiveX and was a Managing Director at Bankers Trust Korea.

Ashley is based in Perth and has 35 years of experience in founding, investing in and establishing businesses within the financial capital markets, agri-business and fin-tech.

Shares in BPH Energy remain flat at 0.1 cents each at market close.
