Predictive Discovery (PDI) has been granted an exploration permit over the Saman Project in Guinea, which was previously held through a reconnaissance authorisation.

Reconnaissance authorisations are short-term tenements where exploration activities such as geochemical sampling and geological mapping are permitted.

An exploration permit, however, is a longer-term holding with a three-year initial term with two additional two-year renewals for a total of seven years. When granted an exploration permit, the company can undertake advanced exploration such as reverse circulation (RC) and diamond drilling.

The new Saman Project permit sits directly next to Predictive’s Kaninko Permit. Saman may contain a possible northern extension to the northernmost mineralised power auger hole in the NE Bankan gold mineralised zone, where grades of 6.82g/t of gold have been returned.

Predictive Discovery has also announced the completion of its 65-hole power auger drilling program. This program was designed to explore strike extensions of the NE Bankan discovery within the Saman Permit in the Siguiri Basin.

The company will expand on this program with further power auger drilling expected to commence on Saman within the next week.

Company shares are up a slight 2.60 per cent and are trading for 7.9 cents each at 11:11 am AEST.
