Saturn Metals (STN) has received further positive results from ongoing drilling at the Apollo Hill deposit which is part of the Apollo Hill Gold Project.

Apollo Hill is located 60 kilometres southeast of Leonora in the Goldfields region of Western Australia.

The reverse circulation (RC) drilling at Apollo Hill is a key part of Saturn’s strategy to grow the project’s 781,000 ounce mineral resource. The company is targeting a resource upgrade before the end of this year and it will be based on all drilling undertaken since October 2019.

Pleasingly, the latest drilling has continued to extend gold mineralisation.

Results include 19 metres at 1g/t gold from 329 metres including eight metres at 1.31g/t gold from 345 metres, 10 metres at 1.64g/t gold from 194 metres and five metres at 1.51g/t gold from 175 metres.

Additionally, several significant intersections have been returned in a new hanging-wall position at the south-central part of the deposit. Results from this area include 10 metres at 1.13g/t gold from 86 metres, seven metres at 1.07g/t gold from 130 metres and five metres at 1.86g/t gold from 197 metres.

“The latest results demonstrate the strong potential to expand the mineralised picture at Apollo Hill on multiple fronts. Drilling continues across the deposit with the aim of improving both the scale and quality of the gold system,” Saturn Managing Director Ian Bamborough said.

Saturn Metals also received results for two RC holes at Calypso that targeted an interpreted northeast, southwest-trending alluvial channel.

Both holes successfully intersected alluvial gravels and confirmed potential for Calypso-style mineralisation. One hole returned four metres at 0.21g/t gold from 92 metres.

Saturn has now planned a 20-hole, 2000-metre aircore drilling program over the area to follow-up these results. While, assays remain pending for another 20 holes.

Company shares are trading 2.70 per cent lower for 72 cents at market close on September 7.
