  • Seventeen holes were drilled to fill the gap between previous high-grade intercepts, confirm historic shallow intercepts, and extend the Metzke’s lode at depth and to the south

Dreadnought Resources (DRE) has received results from eight reverse circulation (RC) drill holes completed at Metzke’s Find.

Metzke’s Find lies within the Illaara Gold-VMS-Iron Ore Project, 190 kilometres northwest of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.

Seventeen RC holes, for 1767 metres, were drilled to fill the gap between previous high-grade intercepts, confirm historic shallow intercepts, and extend the Metzke’s lode at depth and to the south.

Best results include four metres at 19.9g/t gold from 45 metres including two metres at 39.2g/t gold from 45 metres, and two metres at 12.8g/t gold from 51 meters including one metre at 24.8g/t gold from 51 metres.

The remaining nine holes are currently in the lab for analysis and results are expected in October.

These results will be used to gain a better understanding of the potential extent of the high-grade mineralisation.

Dreadnought has also completed RC drilling at Longmore’s Find and Black Oak, as well as infill soil sampling to the south of Metzke’s Find.

Work at Longmore’s Find and Black Oak was designed to identify mineralised lodes and outline gold-in-soil anomalies. Results are expected in October.

Results from the soil sampling will be used to plan future RC drilling.

“Metzke’s Find continues to deliver high-grade intercepts with MZRC019 returning an 80 metre intercept, the best to date. There are a further nine holes at the lab which will add further intercepts at depth and to the south,” Managing Director Dean Tuck said.

“This is an exciting step forward for Metzke’s Find and Illaara in general. We are looking forward to the results from these nine holes as well as our first holes at Longmore’s Find and Black Oak,” he added.

Dreadnought is up a healthy 26.1 per cent and shares are trading for 2.9 cents each at 10:27 am AEST.
