Junior explorer Dreadnought Resources (DRE) has hit the jackpot — finding bonanza-grade gold nuggets at Longmore’s Find.

Longmore’s is located within the Dreadnought’s wider Ilaara Project, which resides north of Kalgoorlie in WA.

The gold nuggets found were found during the maiden drilling program at Longmore’s Find in the Metzke’s Corridor.

Dreadnought said it was its highest-grade intercept to date, at 1 metre at 100 g/t gold from 56 metres in hole LMRC005.

The company also used its first-ever drilling program at Ilaara to test Black Oak, where it found multiple shallow, thick, oxide intercepts.

The explorer said these results confirm the potential for the Metzke’s Corridor to produce multiple high-grade deposits.

While over a dozen gold-in-soil anomalies have already been identified within the same area.

Dreadnought Managing Director, Dean Tuck, said finding these nuggets in the maiden program has been a watershed moment for the company.

“This drilling has confirmed the potential for the around 10 kilometres long Metzke’s Corridor to contain multiple high-grade deposits within over a dozen anomalies,” he said.

“Furthermore, the Illaara Greenstone Belt has the potential to host other multi-deposit camps including Central Illaara and Lawrence’s Corridor,” Dean continued.

The company said it will now shift its focus to commencing further reverse circulation drilling at Metzke’s Corridor next month.

The exploration stock is still awaiting more results from the recent maiden program.

It also has plans to conduct diamond drilling at Longmore’s Find, Metzke’s Find and Metzke’s South to follow-up on today’s bonanza results.

Shares in Dreadnought Resources are trading 7.14 per cent in the green worth three cents each at 10:46 am AEDT.
