  • Yandal Resources Limited has reported positive mineralisation results at its recent reverse circulation drilling prospect at Flushing Meadows, Western Australia.

The Flushing Meadows project is situated near numerous gold development projects such as Barwidgee and Ironstone Well – both of which are wholly-owned by Yandal Resources.

A total of 29 angled RC holes for a total of 2,587 metres was completed in hopes to confirm and extend newly defined gold mineralisation returned from RC and air-core drilling programs completed in the March 2019 Quarter. Yandal Resources also aim to sufficiently complete Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) sampling for inclusion in JORC Compliant Resource Estimates.

“Exploration results to date have demonstrated excellent potential to define oxide Resources over a continuous strike length of 1.7km at the Flushing Meadows prospect. Mineralisation appears to be continuous and of a consistent grade at the 100m line spacings so we will now bring the drill spacing down to 50m along strike,” Managing Director, Lorry Hughes said.

The company is currently awaiting results from 850 individual one-metre samples which have been submitted for analysis. Once results are received, Yandal Resources will conduct a field duplicate sampling program across the deposit to provide additional QA/QC data to be used in the compilation of Resource Estimates.

The next phase of the RC drilling program has commenced and will drill 27 holes for approximately 2,430 metres to infill the northern 800 metres of the deposit and bring drill spacing down from 100 metres to 50 metres along strike.

The completion of the infill drill program will allow the company to define priority targets for drill testing in the September 2019 Quarter.
