Hammer Metals (HMX) has updated the market regarding exploration at its Yandal properties in Western Australia.

Drilling has now wrapped up at the Bronzewing South, Ken’s Bore and North Orelia tenements.

Bronzewing South

Two diamond holes, for 1203 metres, were drilled at Bronzewing South to test two gravity lows believed to represent potential alteration zones associated with gold mineralisation.

One of the holes intersected the edge of a gravity anomaly and intersected 14 metres at 0.14g/t gold from 202 metres.

Results from the second hole are pending and are expected in early February.

Additionally, resampling returned a high-grade gold intercept of 17 metres at 1.56g/t gold from 120 metres including one metre at 19.69g/t gold from 123 metres.

Furthermore, an expanded detailed gravity survey will be undertaken shortly.

Ken’s Bore

Two reverse circulation (RC) holes, for 480 metres, were drilled at Ken’s Bore to test an electromagnetic (EM) anomaly.

Both holes encountered massive and semi massive sulphides with best results of 11 metres at 0.11g/t gold from 123 metres at two metres at 0.12g/t gold from 175 metres.

Hammer will now examine and drill the untested anomalies in further detail.

North Orelia

20 holes, for 2111 metres, were drilled at North Orelia to test key structural positions below the weathering profile.

Significant results include eight metres at 4.2g/t gold from 20 metres, including one metre at 27.1g/t gold from 26 metres, and five metres at 3.5g/t gold from 25 metres including one metre at 16.6g/t gold from 25 metres.

Hammer is expected to begin planning an aircore (AC) drilling program in late February to test soil anomalies.

“The company continues to advance its understanding of these project areas with drilling intercepting the targeted horizons,” Managing Director Daniel Thomas commented.

Hammer Metals is steady on the market and shares are trading at 3.6 cents at 11:47 am AEDT.
