First Au (FAU) has identified up to 86g/t gold from the Snowstorm area at the Vic Gold Project in Victoria.
Fieldwork and rock chip sampling are currently underway at the Haunted Stream and Snowstorm areas.
Snowstorm
Sampling was undertaken at Snowstorm to evaluate and assess the gold mineralisation as well as assist in drill hole targeting.
The result of 86g/t gold supports previous work, where up to 112g/t gold was identified.
A maiden drilling program is set to begin mid-February with Star West Drilling hired to undertake the work with drilling to follow-up on this result.
Haunted Stream
Mapping and rock chip sampling have been underway at Haunted Stream since November 2020 with work establishing that gold mineralisation is controlled by ductile shear zones.
A best result of 0.06 per million gold was identified, which is highly encouraging for First Au.
Additionally, underground structural mapping and rock-chip analysis returned up to 1.2 per cent arsenic in arsenopyrite, which means it is a potential carrier for economic mineralisation.
Drilling permitting for Haunted Stream is currently underway.
First Au has ended the day 5.56 per cent in the green with shares trading at 1.9 cents in a $9.685 million market cap.
