Wide Open Agriculture (WOA) has received an initial OatUP purchase order from one of the largest grocery wholesalers in Australia.

Food and drink distribution company, The Market Grocer, will expand the product into the eastern states, and will become the lead point of contact for independent grocers wishing to stock WOA’s Dirty Clean Food’s OatUP in New South Wales and Victoria.

CEO of Dirty Clean Food, Jay Albany, said OatUP is the world’s first regenerative and carbon neutral oat milk.

“This is a special distinction, which aligns with the values that underpin the larger trend of consumers evaluating a switch from dairy to plant-based milks.”

The announcement follows an initial trial which evaluated the potential customer interest and market opportunities for the product, completed earlier this month.

WOA said this deal would accelerate sales of OatUP materially, given the significantly larger population base of NSW and VIC compared to WA, where it was initially launched.

OatUP has already been shipped to facilities in Homebush, NSW and Lilydale, Victoria with the product estimated to be available for purchase by the end of June.

“After a strong launch in Western and South Australia only six months ago, we are excited to have another wonderful partner expanding the availability of OatUP into the Eastern States,” Jay Albany said.

Wide Open Agriculture was up 10.1 per cent, trading at 87.5 cents at 1:28 pm AEST.
