Kula Gold (KGD) has confirmed halloysite at the Boomerang Prospect, located within the Airfield Project near Southern Cross in Western Australia.

Recent reverse circulation drilling of three holes intersected more than 42 metres of kaolin clay at Boomerang.

Drillhole 21BMRC001 intersected 10m at 7 per cent halloysite from 40m depth downhole at 8.8m true thickness within an intersection of 55m of kaolin downhole.

Scanning electron microscope (SEM) analysis by CSIRO has confirmed since this finding. The report noted “good particle separation and spread” for the
kaolinite/halloysite.

Further drilling is planned for the quarter to test the volume of kaolin at Boomerang and provide material for initial metallurgical testwork.

Sedgman has been appointed as metallurgical consultants to oversee the metallurgical testwork program at Boomerang.

Last month, the company raised $1.8 million for its WA projects.

On the market this afternoon, Kula closed down 16.7 per cent at 5.5 cents per share.
