Wellnex Life (WNX) has signed an agreement with Mark Wahlberg’s supplements company.

An exclusive licensing agreement has been penned with Performance Inspired to supply a range of nutrition and supplement products to Australian and New Zealand markets. The agreement also includes the first right to expand into Asia.

Performance Inspired aims to promote an active lifestyle with support from natural nutritional products, while giving a percentage of profits to charities. The company offers more than 58 health and wellness products in the US market, which it says caters to everyone from both the everyday consumer to professional athletes.

Mark Wahlberg put his stamp of approval on the products, saying “I’m excited to bring Performance Inspired to one of my favourite parts of the world”.

The deal was brought about by Julius Cohen, Executive Director of Reach Corporate and Advisory Board Member of Wellnex. Mr Cohen previously worked with Wahlberg and nutritionist Tom Dowd on training centre franchise F45 in 2019.   

The nutrition and supplement market is said to be one of the fastest growing sectors, with sports nutrition alone a $1.3 billion market in Australia.

“The category is red hot so we are thrilled that we have found a strong partner to help bring our amazing products to Australia and New Zealand,” co-founder and CEO Tom Dowd said.

“This is an exciting time for Performance Inspired as we continue to expand and introduce consumers to better products they can trust to support their healthy and active lifestyle.”

Wellnex Life says it expects to announce agreements with national retailers soon.

Wellnex Life was up 11.5 per cent, trading at 14.5 cents at 3:17 pm AEST.
