Weststar Industrial’s (WSI) engineering construction contracting business Alltype Engineering has been awarded a $25 million contract from APA Group.

APA Group is an Australian energy infrastructure business and delivers around half the country’s gas usage.

It is also one of the largest owners and operators of renewable power generation assets in Australia.

Under the contract, Alltype will deliver a two-unit gas turbine centrifugal gas compressor station in the Midwest region of Western Australia as part of the Northern Goldfields Interconnect (NGI) project.

The NGI project will provide the connection of APA’s Goldfields Gas Pipeline and the Dampier to Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline (DBNGP) via a new connection in Eradu, Western Australia.

Alltype’s portion of the contract consists of the construction of a new green compressor station at the inlet of the pipeline.

Alltype Managing Director Kelvin Andrijich is excited to receive the contract and be working with APA Group.

“Having worked with APA Group for over 15 years in various roles, we are excited to be awarded this project that fits well within our delivery capabilities and project team experience,” Mr Andrijich said.

“We are equally pleased that this capability has been recognised by APA Group through consistent project performance for the past three years, reflecting the commitment and capability of our people in the turnkey construction project space.”

Weststar was trading flat at 2.2 cents at 3:07 pm AEDT.
