Brookside Energy (BRK) is preparing to drill its second well in the SWISH Area of Interest in the Andarko Basin, Oklahoma.

With the company’s initial well — the Jewell Well — now in production, work is progressing to begin drilling of the Rangers Well.

So far, BRK said construction of the all-weather multi-well pad and access road has been completed.

Drilling of the cellar is now underway, which will be followed by drilling of the conductor hole and setting of the casing.

The company is also organising to move housing trailers to the well location to begin setting up in anticipation of the arrival of the drilling crew and support staff.

Following the company’s announcement that it would bump up production once again at the Jewell Well, Managing Director David Prentice said is “fantastic to see our operational momentum continue in the SWISH AOI.”

“It is great to be breaking ground on our next well in SWISH, fresh off the operational success and wonderful results we are seeing from production from our Jewell Well, which is located just five miles to the east,” he added.

Shares Brookside Energy are down 3.85 per cent to 2.5 cents at 10:44 am AEDT.
