Dragontail Systems has engaged in strategic alliances with world-leading food delivery companies, DoorDash and Kin Shun Information Technologies.

This agreement will cover both the North America and Asia-Pacific regions. The integration is already taking place and is expected to be completed in a couple of months.

DoorDash is a logistic and delivery company that connects people with food outlets in their city. Kin Shun is a Singapore-based company that offers point-to-point delivery solutions, mainly in the Asia-Pacific markets.

These strategic alliances are tactical due to Dragontail’s ability to offer its QSR (quick service restaurant) customers, who use its Algo Platform, the possibility of combining deliveries carried by drivers and operated by aggregators, with deliveries carried by drivers that are part of the workforce.

The Algo algorithm will automatically include the benefits and costs to determine which is the most accurate and effective way.

The combination of these capabilities will enable the QSR industry to enjoy the added values of Dragontail’s technology together with the advantages from the aggregators.

By integrating the Algo Platform with the aggregator’s system this will enable restaurants to confirm driver locations and rates. The platform ultimately optimises customer satisfaction while minimising delivery costs.

In early June this year Dragontail announced that it had installed its Algo Dispatching Platform to over 250 new food stores, bringing the total to more than 1500.

Algo will be used to look at every order location, driver location and meal status, therefore eliminating the need for a human manager. It also calculates every single second and displays the best possible decisions for the kitchen and dispatch areas.

As an added bonus, Dragontail customers will be able to use the unique Driver Sharing module that enables nearby stores to use the same pool of drivers.

“Moreover, this opens the door for Dragontail to offer its technology to customers who rely only on external drivers. We believe that it will lead to an upmost optimisation of customer service and cost of labour for any restaurant that uses our technology,” Managing Director Ido Levanon said.

Dragontail shares are up 9.38 per cent trading for 17.5 cents with a market cap of $39.82 million.
