Jindalee Resources (JRL) has confirmed lithium at its Clayton North project, located in Nevada, USA.

The program was designed to follow up lithium results from surface sampling undertaken in 2018, where results of up to 930 parts per million (ppm) of lithium were detected at surface.

Six holes of the twelve-hole program were completed to scout the sub-surface
potential for lithium mineralisation. One of the holes, CNDD012, intersected a fine-grained siltstone and claystone unit, the preferred lithological host for lithium.

Intercepts from the hole include 6.1 metres at 1093ppm lithium from 24.4m depth, including 3.05 metres at 1205ppm lithium.

The remaining five holes intersected coarse gravel and conglomerate sedimentary units with minor lithium mineralisation.

As the first drill results are encouraging, Jindalee has agreed to expand the project area by pegging additional placer claims to the southeast.

Additionally, the company has also received a drill permit for McDermitt prospect, with drilling expected to commence in the next couple of weeks.

On the market this morning, Jindalee was down 1.15 per cent and is trading at $2.59 per share at 10:55 am AEDT.
