Flynn Gold (FG1) has received assay results from a rock chip sampling program undertaken at the Golden Ridge Project in Tasmania.

A total of 33 rock chip samples were taken from the Blinding, Link Zone and Trafalgar prospects.

Trafalgar

Sampling at the Trafalgar prospect followed the identification of visible gold in quartz veins around shallow historical workings.

Of the seven samples taken, four returned high-grade gold ranging between 8.56 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 61 g/t gold.

A total of 12 samples were collected from the Link Zone prospect, with seven returning more than 0.1 g/t gold and grades peaking at 8.31 g/t gold.

The Link Zone prospect is characterised by a 2.5-kilometre-long ridge with previous mapping indicating extensive limonitic meta-sandstone.

Previous rock chip sampling at the area has returned gold mineralisation grading up to 6.24 g/t.

Blinding

The remaining 14 samples were collected from the Blinding prospect, with seven returning more than 0.1 g/t gold and grades ranging from 0.24 g/t gold to 2.83 g/t gold.

“These high-grade gold results taken across a three-kilometre strike, which remains open between the Blinding and Trafalgar prospects, provide strong support to our understanding of this intrusive-related gold system at Golden Ridge,” Executive Director Sam Garrett said.

“The company is very focused on unlocking the potential of this system with targeted work programs in progress, designed to optimise our understanding of the system and deliver new targets for drill testing.”

Geological mapping and sampling is continuing at Golden Ridge and Flynn Gold plans to undertake soil sampling and surface trenching across all three prospects.

Additionally, Flynn Gold plans to drill a government co-funded hole at Trafalgar, following the current drilling program at the Brilliant Prospect.

Flynn Gold was up 2.78 per cent on the market with shares trading at 18.5 cents at 2:51 pm AEDT.
