Alcidion (ALC) has been awarded a six-year contract for a healthcare IT project for the Commonwealth of Australia.

The company, as part of a consortium led by Leidos Australia, was awarded the contract to provide the longitudinal health record via its Miya Precision product.

The consortium reportedly involves multiple other digital health companies, many of which are leading Australian providers.

Essentially, Miya Precision digitises patient records and care processes. The platform will collate data from consortium partner solutions and other systems to consolidate every participant’s health status and history.

The contract value for Alcidion is expected to be $23.3 million over the six-year period and will cover the implementation and a subscription to the Miya Precision platform.

Alcidion CEO and Managing Director Kate Quirke said she was pleased to have received this contract.

“Alcidion looks forward to working with Leidos and our consortium partners to deliver this significant project,” Ms Quirke said.

“The scale and scope are a validation of Miya Precision’s existing capability to provide this critically important longitudinal health record.”

The project is expected to commence before the end of this year.

Company shares were up 11.1 per cent to trade at 35 cents at 10:21 am AEDT.
