Veris’ (VRS) subsidiary, Aqura Technologies, has been awarded a $1.3 million private LTE network contract by Shell.

The contract will support Shell’s Australian operations and includes a three-year managed services agreement with a further two-year option.

It also leverages Aqura’s experience in delivering reliable, large-scale private LTE network solutions across diverse operating environments throughout Australia.

The granting of the contract brings the total value of new contracts secured by Aqura to $17.8 million for the first five months of FY21.

The current work of secured contracts involves a diverse range of project execution opportunities and managed services agreements.

Additionally, it includes as-a-service annuity style contracts across the spectrum of Aqura’s product suite including Industrial Wireless, Content Access Network solutions and loT applications.

Aqura Technologies CEO Travis Young said the company was pleased to support Shell.

“It is great to support them with our extensive experience in delivering a high-performance Private LTE Network and continuing to ensure they are extracting the full value from their investment with ongoing managed services support,” Mr Young said.

“This contract demonstrates Aqura Technologies’ in-house technical expertise and unique skillset which has underpinned the construction, deployment and ongoing management of leading edge, high performance Private 4G LTE networks across a range of operating environments throughout Australia for our blue-chip client base.”

Veris shares are up 1.7 per cent to trade at 6.1 cents at 1:50 pm AEDT.
