SRG Global (SRG) has secured a specialist facades contract in Adelaide valued at around $20 million.

It will be used for the $1 billion Festival Tower which will become Adelaide’s tallest all-electric office building.

The contract is with Built on behalf of Walker Corporation to design, supply and install specialist engineered curtain wall facades at the Festival Square development.

The building will target 6 Star Green Star and 5.5 Star NABERs ratings, plugging into South Australia’s growing renewable power resources allowing a shift away from fossil fuels.

SRG Global Managing Director David Macgeorge says the project demonstrates the company’s diversity.

“We are very proud to be a part of this significant development project in Adelaide with strong environmental sustainability credentials,” he said.

“This continues our longstanding relationship with Built and highlights the geographic diversity of our Facades business across Australia.”

The new project will begin immediately and run for around 18 months.

Company shares are up 1.04 per cent to trade at 48 cents at 1:00 pm AEDT.
