White Cliff Minerals (WCN) has begun reverse circulation (RC) drilling at its Cracker Jack Prospect in Western Australia.

The Cracker Jack Prospect is part of the Reedy South Gold Project, which lies in the Cue Goldfields 80 kilometres south of Meekatharra.

Seven RC holes have been planned at Cracker Jack as part of a first-pass drilling program.

Previous rock chip sampling returned more than one gram of gold per tonne (g/t) as well as strongly elevated bismuth, molybdenum and tungsten mineralisation.

Once drilling wraps up at Cracker Jack, the rig will move to the McCaskill Hill Prospect where 67 holes will be drilled to follow up on encouraging soil sampling results.

Drilling will target an area of strong gold responses along the margins of the banded iron formation (BIF) units and follow up on the rotary air blast drilling.

Technical Director Ed Mead is pleased the company is on schedule and drilling has begun.

“As previously announced, after successfully completing the heritage survey, we were aiming to commence drilling in January 2022,” Mr Mead said.

“Both Cracker Jack and McCaskill Hill are under-explored prospects. McCaskill Hill is an exciting prospect, straddling the southern end of the Burnakurra Shear Zone, with a large area defined through geochemical sampling.”

Drilling is expected to be completed by the end of the month, with assay results anticipated in mid-March.

White Cliff was up 16.7 per cent on the market, with shares trading at 2.8 cents at 12:18 pm AEDT.
