Superior Resources (SPQ) has said the first assays from 2300 metres of diamond drilling at its Bottletree copper prospect build confidence in a potentially high-grade porphyry system.

The prospect forms part of the company’s Greenvale project, located in Queensland.

The company said the primary target at Bottletree is buried porphyry, with the core interpreted to be located 500 metres southwest of an IP anomaly.

Meanwhile, the company has drilled at the Distal copper zone which it says contains mineralisation over 550 metres downhole and is open at strike in multiple directions.

Results from this drilling include peak values of 4 metres at 1.32 per cent copper, 0.16 g/t gold and 3.9 g/t silver from 313 metres.

The company is awaiting results from a soil geochemical survey it says will give a clearer picture of zonation to assist with targeting the porphyries.

The company said a large multi-stage drilling program is being planned for the end of Q1 2022.

Shares were trading down 5.66 per cent at 5 cents at 11.24 am AEDT.
