  • Nimy Resources (NIM) has completed a moving loop electromagnetic survey which has identified three conductor plates at its Mons nickel project in WA
  • The plates are located within Area A02 – Dease at the Zone A target where previous drilling identified nickel sulphide mineralisation
  • Managing Director Christian Price says the drilling and survey work results have “confirmed nickel sulphide fertility” at the Mons project
  • The survey is being expanded in light of the positive results and a diamond rig will commence drilling at Zone A once it completes a hole in a different area
  • Company shares ended the day 12.1 per cent in the red to close at 29 cents

Nimy Resources (NIM) has identified three conductor plates at its Mons nickel project in Western Australia.

The Mons Nickel Project is located 140 kilometres north of Southern Cross and covers the Karroun Hill nickel district to the north of the ‘world-famous’ Forrestania nickel belt.

Nimy discovered the plates through a moving loop electromagnetic (MLEM) survey, which covered about five per cent of the current identified strike length at the project.

The electromagnetic conductor plates are located at Zone A within Area A02 – Dease where previous reverse circulation drilling identified nickel sulphide mineralisation.

Nimy said identifying multiple conductor plates was a significant result, as it hopes to find higher-grade disseminated and massive sulphide nickel zones.

Managing Director Christian Price said this was an excellent start to its exploration campaign at the Mons nickel project.

“The identification of MLEM conductors is an important step for the development of the Mons Nickel Project,” he said.

“Coupled with our previous RC drilling in Zone A, these results confirm nickel sulphide fertility at Mons. The three conductors uncovered in Area A02 significantly enhance the large-scale mineralised Mt Keith-style potential of the project.”

The company is undertaking a more detailed analysis of the conductive response to further define the plates.

In light of the discovery, Nimy has expanded the MLEM survey to cover a larger area of ground along strike and will also include the conductor plates in a diamond drilling program that’s currently underway.

Company shares ended the day 12.1 per cent in the red to close at 29 cents.
