Metals Australia (MLS) have reported high-grade lithium, rubidium and tantalum assay results from its rock chip sampling program at Manindi Lithium Project in Western Australia.
Manindi is located around 20 kilometres southwest of the Youanmi Gold Mine in the Murchison District.
Recently, a rock chip sampling program was undertaken over the entire 500-kilometre strike length of the newly discovered Foundation Pegmatite, as well as nearby pegmatites, Foundation North and Dibbler.
Results from this program include 2.30 per cent lithium oxide and 0.70 per cent rubidium, with an average of 1.29 per cent lithium oxide and 0.51 per cent rubidium over the entire strike length.
Metals Australia is now well underway with its reverse circulation (RC) drilling program, which is testing the central, high-grade, part of the Foundation Pegmatite. Drilling will also test Dibbler, Quoll and Bandicoot pegmatites.
Initial testing has intersected up to 16 metres downhole of mineralised pegmatite in one of the drill-holes, MNRC043.
Samples collected from this initial RC drilling will be submitted to Intertek laboratory in Malaga, Perth, for the lithium suite of analyses.
As the market opens this morning, Metals Australia was up 28.3 per cent and is trading at 6.8 cents per share at 10:06 am AEDT.
