Sipa Resources (SRI) will soon begin a reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at its Skeleton Rocks project in Western Australia.

The project can be found between the Great Eastern Highway and the Mt Holland lithium
project which is currently being developed as part of a joint venture between Wesfarmers and Sociedad Quimica y Minera de Chile S.A.

The drilling effort will test lithium targets generated from a recent aircore drilling program which marked the first drilling ever completed in the area.

The aircore program confirmed anomalous lithium in previously untested greenstone units which, after a review, highlighted target areas where elevated lithium and other pegmatite-associated elements form “coherent halos” on the margins of the greenstone units.

Sipa Resources said the anomalous results may indicate the presence of nearby lithium-bearing pegmatites which will be the focus of the RC program commencing in the next few days.

“Skeleton Rocks is a great location to hunt for lithium with major groups operating nearby, and we are eager to get this drill program started,” Managing Director Pip Darvall said.

Sipa ended the day 6.38 per cent in the green to close at five cents per share.
