Aurumin (AUN) is progressing a mapping and ultrafine soil sampling program at its Greater Sandstone project in Western Australia.
The program is aimed at assessing the potential of granted tenements and tenement applications within the Greater Sandstone project. The samples collected will be used for mapping and interpretation and to potentially generate targets.
A portion of the sampling program is focused on Aurumin’s new tenement, E57/1140, and is reportedly two-thirds complete.
“E57/1140 has seen relatively little exploration work and remains under-explored, despite being just four kilometres from the existing processing plant location at the closest point,” Aurumin Managing Director Brad Valiukas said.
“This soil sampling, on E57/1140 and other tenements is an important and systematic step in moving the project forward.”
Aurumin is also progressing an updated resource model for the Shillington and Two Mile Hill deposits, which are located within the Sandstone operations. The resource model results are expected this month and subsequent drilling is planned.
AUN shares were trading steady at 9.2 cents at 1:41 pm AEDT.
