Dundas Minerals (DUN) has completed a four-hole reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at its Matilda South prospect in Western Australia.

The company said the Matilda South target hosted a large gravity anomaly, with magnetic anomalies marginal to the interpreted intrusion.

The program included 1381 metres of drilling, with the deepest hole reaching depths of 425 metres.

Dundas said a visual inspection of the drill chips proved geophysical model predictions right, with logged intercepts of mafic rock types present.

Thus far, samples from the first two drill holes have been sent to the Intertek Genalysis lab in Perth, while the third and fourth hole samples are expected to be submitted next week.

Dundas anticipates the assays to be returned within four to five weeks from submission.

The Matilda South drilling program is 50 per cent co-funded through the WA Government Exploration Incentive Scheme (EIS).

Dundas shares were trading at 13.5 cents at 12:56 pm AEDT.
