American Rare Earths (ARR) has confirmed rare earth mineralisation from recent drilling at both the Red Mountain and Overton Mountain areas in Wyoming.

The company has now received the final results from a 38-hole reverse circulation drilling program completed at its Halleck Creek rare earth project in the US.

ARR said the new assays confirmed rare earth mineralisation extending from surface to new depth at the Overton Mountain area, spanning over 10 square kilometres, plus consistent rare earths grades at the Red Mountain areas to depths of 150 metres.

The company noted that to date, only 25 per cent of the total area had been sampled.

Highlights from the reverse circulation program included 3236 parts per million total rare earth oxides (TREO) over 150 metres and 4499 parts per million TREO over 148.5 metres.

“The deposit covers over ten square kilometres and is potentially the largest rare earth deposit in North America,” ARR Managing Director Chris Gibbs said.

“The consistency of TREO grades at increased depth is perhaps the most significant element of the results thus far, considering the small area of the project drilled to date and the consistency of surface samples across the entire project area.”

The company’s team is now focused on releasing a maiden mineral resource by the end of March to conclude its “very busy” first quarter.

American Rare Earths shares were trading at 19.5 cents at 1:25 pm AEDT.
