Good morning and welcome to the start of Week 43 of the year – there’s 9 left!

The ASX 200 is set to rise +0.55% on Monday, not too far off the 8,370point record hit last week.

In Wall Street, they’ve officially had 40 fresh record highs this year as of Friday close American time.

Looking around the ASX, Mineral Resources‘ board has thrown its support behind company boss Chris Ellison, currently the subject of media reports alleging tax evasion.

On HotCopper, it’s all eyes on Strike Energy as the company unveils an update for its Erregulla Deep-1 well.

In forex, the Aussie continues to buy around 67 US cents.

Looking at commodities which are in the greenback,

Iron ore is fetching $101.35 per tonne in Singapore,

Brent is currently worth around $73.00 a barrel,

Gold is pulling in just under $2,720 per ounce, and,

US natgas futures $2.22 per gigajoule.
