Golden Deeps (ASX:GED) has added to its growing body of evidence highlighting the high-grade potential of the two-kilometre mineralised corridor at its Graceland Critical Minerals Prospect in Namibia, this week uncovering further copper mineralisation from new trenching and channel sampling.

The company’s sampling program – added to its research pile – focused on two newly identified gossan zones at either end of the 2km corridor.

At the Gossan One East zone, five channels were cut across strongly mineralised ground, building on previously uncovered rock chips which graded as much as 47.3% copper, 7,792 grams per tonne silver, and 224g/t gold.

Results from the west extension recorded copper mineralisation present over widths of three to six metres. Both sample sets have been submitted for processing.

“We are looking forward with great anticipation to the results, which will give us an understanding of the widths and strike-continuity of these exceptionally high-grade mineralised zones,” Golden Deeps CEO Jon Dugdale said.

“Significantly, the addition of copper, silver, and lead to the U.S. Critical Minerals list would mean that all of the high-grade elements at the Graceland Prospect… are classified as critical, high-demand metals of key importance.”

A detailed induced polarisation-resistivity survey is now inked in to start in the next two weeks. The program, to be helmed by Terratec, will target these high-grade gossan zones before expanding across the corridor.

The target: Near-surface sulphide zones, as well as deeper “Tsumeb-style” copper-silver-zinc-lead-germanium sulphide targets up to 300 metres at depth.

“These results generated from the large-scale IP survey, which is set to commence shortly, will be modelled and combined with channel and rockchip sampling results to generate drilling targets for both near-surface and deeper Cu-Ag-Zn-Pb-Ge targets,” Mr Dugdale explained to shareholders.

Combining these channel and rockchip samples will give Golden Deep the high-grade targets they need to start drilling; the nearby Tsumeb mine, which historically produced 27 million tonnes of copper (4.3%), lead (10%), zinc (3.5%), silver (at 95g/t) and germanium (50g/t), is proof of regional quality.

GED heads into Friday’s trade at 6.1cps; the explorer’s up +144% YTD.
