Listen to the HotCopper podcast for in-depth discussions and insights on all the biggest headlines from throughout the week. On Spotify, Apple, and more.

In this daily HotCopper Trends column, we break down the top three stocks talked about on any given trade day, and why they’ve drawn a daily focus.

Race Oncology (ASX:RAC) is Thursday’s top winner after announcing the discovery of “the primary mechanism of action” of its lead anticancer candidate, (E,E)-bisantrene (RCDS1), following a long run of researching.

Why it’s been so discussed, though, is its price action: RAC has blown out another +36% today after already running +200% over the last four weeks – and plenty of HotCopper users want in. (Another that I suspect I’ll be covering in my HotList column tomorrow, considering how exciting Race has been.)

Also trending for its gains is Metallium (ASX:MTM), which has advanced +14% after executing an MOU with a Glencore subsidiary for a potential long-term collab on feedstock supply and metal offtake in the United States.

Metallium has similarly been trucking through CY25, piling up as much as +400% since January. Twelve months ago, it was 1,903% cheaper, too.

Today, MTM shares are fetching $1.30 each and appear to be holding.

And finally, Red Mountain Mining (ASX:RMX) is trending on a NSW mining triumph.

I wrote more about this mining hit here, but it’s a pretty simple story: The explorer hit the “highest antimony grades to date” at its Oaky Creek antimony-gold project.

Rock chips analysed through Red Mountain’s latest soil sampling came in with “standout” results: Hits ranged from 39.9% antimony with 0.16 grams per tonne gold to 33.5% Sb from 1.09g/t gold and 19.4% Sb with 0.25g/t gold.

RMX has enjoyed a ride today, and is at 3.5cps after gaining +20.1%.

In a wider view, the ASX has blown green today, up +1%.
