Good afternoon, and welcome to the HotCopper HotList Top 10. Every week, hundreds of companies go through the ups and downs of the ASX trading rollercoaster, with fortunes made and equity lost each time the Aussie bourse opens – which is why keeping an eye on all the trending stocks is so key.

Listen to the HotCopper podcast for in-depth discussions and insights on all the biggest headlines from throughout the week. On Spotify, Apple, and more.

We’ve put together the HotCopper HotList: The top ten ASX-listed companies added to HotCopper users’ watchlists, so you can keep an eye on them too – and broken down why the top three companies made trending lists.

Without further ado, here’s all the companies top-listed on the HotCopper forums.

1. L1 Group

Another HotList column, another ticker change leading the way: L1 Group (ASX:L1G) was formerly Platinum Asset Management under ticker “PTM” until Oct. 3. By midday last Friday, the changeover had gone through.

Beyond that, not much has changed for L1; the merger with First Maven, which sparked the swap, has gone through without a hitch, and now they’re one entity.

L1 shareholders have received 74% of the new merged entity this month. The “newly listed” company boasts combined funds under management of approximately $16.5B and L1G shares carry a 98.5c price tag.

2. Investigator Resources

Investigator Resources (ASX:IVR) is the second most watchlisted stock this week, and it makes sense considering the explorer controls “the nation’s highest-graded undeveloped primary silver project,” over in South Australia.

The explorer’s MD, Lachlan Wallace, has been telling everyone just how good it’s going to be through W41, highlighting everything from the project’s history and development to permitting, the silver sector, and more.

HotCopper users have been rabidly discussing this explorer this week (and obviously adding it to watchlists) and have set a 10cps target for the company. Whether it actually makes that soon remains to be seen, though the company’s $10 million placement to “fast-track” its Paris Silver project should help somewhat.

The explorer’s price right now is sitting at 6c/sh by Friday arvo.

3. Red Mountain Mining

Rounding out the HotList podium for W41 is Red Mountain Mining (ASX:RMX), which we’ve spoken about at length several times recently. The hype continues for the Aussie explorer for now, especially after it just reeled in “the highest antimony grades to date” at Oaky Creek in Armidale this month.

I’m not going to rattle off all the same things on RMX again, considering how much we’ve talked about them: Read about my recent thoughts here.

Price-wise, there’s a lot to love for RMX; it’s up +220% through this month.

And rounding out the HotList top 10 this week was:

  • James Bay Minerals (ASX:JBY)
  • European Lithium (ASX:EUR)
  • Trigg Minerals (ASX:TMG)
  • Xstate Resources (ASX:XST)
  • Power Minerals (ASX:PNN)
  • Droneshield (ASX:DRO)
  • And, Haranga Resources (ASX:HAR)
