No surprise, DroneShield (ASX:DRO) continues to be a hot topic on the forums heading into Week 48, with the company sharing another response to media reporting today that really boiled down to it will be investing internally.
The AFR also today reported – and HotCopper users quickly started discussing – that Oleg Vornik “is privately telling investors that he was justified in selling his entire $50 million stake… because the stock represented a shareholder-approved bonus and the role carried a significant risk to his life.”
We present that chunk without comment; DRO shares are up +4.2%.
St George (ASX:SGQ) has also been catching attention, with the miner delivering another raft of thick, high-grade rare earth and niobium intersections.
HotCopper users were particularly excited about the strong mineralisation from surface that all holes had recorded; the hits further extended both grade and footprint at the Araxa project in Minas Gerais, Brazil.
SGQ shares are up +2% to mid-arvo.
And finally, Black Cat Syndicate (ASX:BC8) has popped up in discussions: It’s going through a leadership change, with Gareth Solly to step down in 2026.
He will be replaced by James Bruce as MD. Markets liked it; +2%.
Looking wider, the ASX has been a strong +1.1% up.
