The CY26 exploration wins keep coming for Golden Deeps (ASX:GED) at Graceland, with the Aussie company this week cracking into “intensely mineralised” zones of copper and zinc just below the high-grade Gossans outcrops.

The explorer just recently wrapped up two NQ-sized diamond holes at its flagship Namibian critical minerals project, targeting areas directly beneath high-grade surface outcrops. These tested the full width of the steeply-dipping mineralised zone, which maintains a true thickness of around seven metres.

The “intense” results confirmed that a previously-intersected copper and silver-zinc channel does indeed continue below the gossan, with a wide zone of strong sphalerite (zinc) and galena (lead) extending well into the footwall.

“We’re delighted to have drill-intersected such a wide and strongly intersected zone under the Gossan outcrop,” Golden Deeps’ CEO, Jon Dugdale, declared.

The successful find has “generated IP chargeability and low resistivity anomalies,” the company chief explained, which represent potential sulphide mineralisation to the east and down-plunge of Gossan 1’s recent mineralisation hits.

“In addition,” Mr Dugdale added, “a large and strongly anomalous IP-low resistivity anomaly occurs at the eastern end of the corridor and extends to the eastern edge… where it remains completely open.” That anomaly was detected 200 metres below surface and is “blind” (not connected to other outcrops).

Golden Deeps will now be running further 3D modelling of the IP-Res anomalies; those will then be combined with upcoming rock chip and shallow drilling results.

When combined, the chip samples, drilling results, and 3D models will define priority, “Tsumbed-type” critical minerals sulphide targets for Golden Deeps’ soon-to-run follow-up drilling program at the Graceland discovery.

Elsewhere, the explorer has called in drill contractors to test several primary sulphide zones in the Namibia work area. Shallow diamond drilling at Gossan East, Gossan West, and Gossan North is also underway.

GED heads into Thursday’s morning trade at 5.8cps.
