Lodestar Minerals (ASX:LSR) has a new top chief, with a “winning discovery-focused leader” in Coraline Blaud stepping into the key role after several successes as the company’s executive director and head of exploration.

Ms Blaud has proven herself as a cornerstone player in Lodestar’s recent exploration, especially when it came to building local teams in Chile and guiding development at the Virgin Mountain HRE project in Arizona. She also led resource estimation drilling at the Neds Creek gold project in Western Australia.
“Coraline has been at the forefront of Lodestar’s exploration success and is a proving to be a winning discovery-focused leader,” said chairman Ross Taylor.
“From our emerging copper opportunity in Chile to the strong early results at Virgin Mountain in the U.S. to the Mid-Western Australian Gold project, Ms Blaud has adeptly demonstrated the ability to identify and advance high-quality projects and put the teams in place to deliver,” he continued.
With Lodestar heading into a period of sustained drilling works and expected news flow through coming months, as well as what should be increasing market attention, Ms Blaud will have to hit the ground running.
Mr Taylor is sure she’ll rise to the task. “This is the right time to elevate Coraline to CEO,” he told shareholders. “We have the projects, we have the momentum, and we now have the leadership in place to fully capitalise on the opportunity.
Her appointment, he added, is “something I am very much looking forward to.”
LSR heads into Friday trade selling at 24cps.
