First up, Perenti (ASX:PRN) has been very popular with HotCopper followers today after its underground mining business, Barminco, was awarded a contract to provide services at Barrick Mining’s Fourmile Project in Nevada.
The contract has an estimated value of $275 million and a 45-month term, with work due to commence in July 2026. Perenti MD and CEO, Vanessa Torres, said securing the underground mining contract at Fourmile is an exciting development for the company’s North America team.
Fourmile is adjacent to the Goldrush project, where Barminco already operates for Nevada Gold Mines, a JV between Barrick (61.5%) and Newmont (38.5%).
PRN was up +5.24%, to $2.41.
Fenix (ASX:FEX) has also been popular with Australian investors after it this morning announced a partnership with Mira Bulk to target lower shipping costs. The new Fenix-Mira Bulk freight partnership has enabled Fenix to secure US$44 million in long-term funding facilities with ResInvest.
The partnership will expand Fenix’s iron sales through ResInvest’s international marketing connections, building on ResInvest’s successful Shine Mine marketing.
FEX was up +6% to lunchtime today, to 26.5¢.
And finally, Lindian (ASX:LIN) attracted support after it said its Kangankunde rare earths project in Malawi remains on schedule to support first production in Q4 CY26.
Kangankunde continues to advance across construction, mining readiness, supporting infrastructure and operational preparation, with front-end commissioning targeted for October CY26. Executive director Zac Komur said mining readiness has advanced significantly, with access now established to the top of Kangankunde for the stage one pit and a haul road complete.
LIN was up +7.27%, to 88.5¢ today.
Looking wider, the S&P/ASX 200 increased by just 0.30 points.
